Dorito Madness

I haven't had Doritos® in ages, so I was surprised when I opened a bag recently. They're a little bit different; Thinner, maybe; A little less flat. But the difference that really caught my attention? The corners are now slightly rounded!
Please let this be part of some Federal Snack Food Modernization Initiative, and not because someone actually injured themselves on a Dorito® point? (Gosh, I hope this isn't why Ali Landry stopped doing their commercials.)
